Ergokinetics™ ensures maximum movement to people with an inactive seated environment
Ergokinetics™ is work in motion. The science of Ergokinetics™ focuses on the vital movements and rhythms of the human body in relation to our work environment.
Function Spinal-glide™ achieves mobility by using two separate spring supported split-seats that allows the pelvic bones and lower back to move as if you are still walking. The seats halves are separated by a narrow space that allows the tailbone to hang rather than touch the seat pan, which eliminates compression of the sacrum and lower spine.
Spinal-glide™ allows the sacrum and two pelvic bones to pitch, roll and yaw to enhance the flow of essential cerebro-spinal fluid being pumped up and down the spinal column.
Spinal-glide™ is the first Ergokinetics™ chair. When you study the human form in ergonomics, it is important to consider the skeletal structures when someone is seated or standing at work. However, it is equally essential to consider and study the body in motion and attempt to emulate that movement when one is seated at a workstation. The body requires mobility and its skeletal structures should not be impeded. The Spinal-glide™ does just that, allows the pelvis and lower back to glide through a normal range of motion.
